The Vikings (1-5) fell to West Texas A&M 3-1 (32-30, 30-27, 24-30, 30-21 and to No. 2 Tampa 3-1 (32-30, 30-17, 24-30, 30-28).
Against West Texas A&M,
Andrea Oswald pounded 20 kills and had 4 blocks to lead the Vikings.
Kati Newgard added 15 kills, while
Terrin Post had 13 kills, 14 digs and 4 blocks. Jenna Lago chipped in with 52 assists and 11 digs, while Abby Schmidt had 27 digs.
Oswald again paced the Viking offense against Tampa, recording 18 kills and only 4 attack errors. She also had 7 digs and 2 blocks. Post joined her in double digits in kills with 15 in addition to her 12 digs. Lago added 46 assists and 26 digs, while Schmidt contributed 28 digs from her libero position.
