2007 Bison Classic ResultsJessica Pape and
Brian Werner led the Augustana men's and women's indoor track and field teams at the Bison Classic Friday in Fargo, N.D.
Pape captured the 3,000 meters in a time of 10:31.00 to lead a pair of Vikings in the top 5. Teammate Alyssa Anderson was fifth in 10:57.92.
Werner, meanwhile, won the 800 meters, crossing the finish line in 2:00.28.
In all, the Viking women put together 10 top 10 finishes, including 8 top 5 finishes. On the men's side, Augustana put together 6 top 10 finishes, including 3 top 5 finishes.
Four Viking women placed fourth in their respective events. That includes
Analiese Pepin in the 400 (1:00.92),
Caitlin Polgreen in the 800 (2:24.81),
Bobbi Jo Buyck in the pole vault (11-03) and
Lindsey Schultz in the shot put (44-06.25).
Molly Clark added a fifth-place finish in the mile (5:20.88), while
Megan Lauseng was fifth in the 200 (26.78) and seventh in the 60-meter dash (8.14).
Bryan Prairie had a strong showing for the Augie men. He was third in the triple jump with a leap of 44-10.75 and sixth in the long jump with a mark of 21-07.25.
Matt Heesch was the other Viking to finish in the top five, finishing fourth in the mile in a time of 4:37.31.
