Meanwhile, Schultz, a junior from Lakeville, Minn., qualified in the shot put. Schultz's best mark of the season came last weekend when she won the North Central Conference title with a toss of 47-00.25. She is presently ranked 5th in the nation.

Schultz will compete at noon (EST) on Saturday, March 10, while Stangler will compete at 5:48 p.m. (EST) on March 10.

"We are very excited that Lindsey and Rachel have qualified for the national indoor championships," head coach Tracy Hellman said. "Both are experienced athletes and have been to a national championship event before. This will certainly help their focus and goal of attaining All-American status, which is given to the top 8 in their event. We are extremely pleased that these two young ladies are representing Augie Track and Field at the national meet".
