2007 All-NCC Baseball TeamAugustana's
Mike Loberg has been named the 2007 North Central Conference Most Valuable Player in a vote of the league's six head coaches, the NCC announced today.
Loberg, a senior outfielder/pitcher from Andover, Minn., was named to the All-NCC Team for the second straight season. He was third in the league in hitting with a .405 batting average to go along with a .718 slugging percentage, which was second in the conference. He also led the league in on-base percentage at .490.
In addition, Loberg led the Vikings in 6 other categories, including hits (53), doubles (11), home runs (8), runs scored (39), RBI (35) and stolen bases (8).
Loberg is the second Augustana player to earn NCC MVP honors.
Dan Conrad was tabbed as the South Division's Most Valuable Player in 1997.
