Augustana's
Brett Benson finished in a tie for 19th place, while
Aaron Hieb placed 44th following the completion of the third and final round of the NCAA Division II Men's Northwest/West Super Regional held Wednesday at Fox Hollow Golf Course in Lakewood, Colo.
Following a disappointing 9-over par in the first round on Monday, Benson finished strong. On Wednesday, Benson fired a 1-over par 72 to end the 54-hole tournament with a 10-over par 223. That placed him in a 6-way tie for 19th place.
Hieb, on the other hand, shot an 86 on Wednesday to finish in 44th place with a 3-day total of 250, which was 37-over par.
Andrew Hedrick of Colorado State-Pueblo won individual medalist honors by shooting a 5-under par 208. In the team standings, Western New Mexico was first with an 855. WNMU finished 12 shots ahead of runner-up Colorado-Colorado Springs, which carded an 867 team score.
