The Augustana women's cross country remained No. 3 in the NCAA Division II rankings for the third straight week, while the men's team dropped out of the top 25 one week after making the list for the first time this season, according to the USTFCCCA poll announced earlier today.
The top five teams in the women's poll remained in their positions, while six teams were knocked out of the top 25 this week.
The men's team was dropped out of its No. 24 ranking from a week ago. Abilene Christian and Adams State switched positions on the pole as Adams State claimed the No. 1 spot and Abilene Christian slid to No. 2.
The Augustana men will try to make a move back to the top 25 as they compete this weekend in the Nebraska-Kearney Invitational . The Viking women, meanwhile, will not run again until October 18 when
they compete at the Chili Pepper Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
