Augustana University Athletics

Augustana men's golfers Matt Pridey and Aaron Hieb have been selected to compete in the 2008 NCAA Division II West / Northwest Super Regional, which will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 5, 6 and 7, at Adobe Creek Golf Club in Petaluma, Calif.

The top 8 teams from the Northwest Region Head-to-Head Championships advanced to the Super Regional. In addition, the top 5 individuals not on one of the 8 qualifying teams also advanced.

Augustana narrowly missed qualifying as a team, finishing ninth in the regional team standings. However, Pridey, a sophomore from Sioux Falls, S.D., was the top-ranked individual not on a qualifying team, while Hieb was fourth.

Hieb, a junior from Mitchell, S.D., is making his third-straight appearance at the Super Regional. He placed 44th in last year's tournament after finishing in a fourth-place tie at the 2006 Super Regional.

At the Super Regional, the top team from each region, as well as the top individual not on a qualifying team, will advance to the NCAA Championships.
