The Augustana women's tennis team lost to Calvin College 8-1 Saturday in Orlando, Fla.
Augustana slipped to 7-9 on the season.
Despite the loss, the Vikings got a boost with the return to singles play of
Emily Gaster. Gaster has not played singles for the past few weeks due to injury. Normally the Vikings' No. 1 singles player, Gaster defeated Elisabeth Geenen 3-6, 6-2, 10-4 in No. 3 singles action on Saturday.
Adrienne Conley also went to a super tiebreaker at No. 4 singles. However, Conley fell to Rachel Strikwerda 4-6, 6-1, 10-7.
Augustana will have Sunday off before facing Kalamazoo College Sunday at 9 a.m. EDT.
