Final Results
The Augustana women's golf team finished in 11th place at the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships at the Findlay Country Club which concluded Saturday in Finday, Ohio.
Making its second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championships, Augustana finished the 72-hole tournament with a final round score of 344 to finish with a 4-day total of 1354. Nova Southeastern won the team national title by shooting its second-straight 307 on Saturday en route to a final score of 1230. Grand Valley State was second at 1245 while Indianapolis and Rollins tied for third at 1248.
In the individual race, Lyndsay McBride of Indianapolis won the national championship with a 72-hole total of 298. Sandra Changkiga of Nova Southeastern and Charlene Reid of Pfeiffer tied for second 2 shots behind McBride at 300.
For Augustana, the Vikings all finished with 11 strokes of one another.
Kate Tobin was the top Viking finisher in a tie for 51st place at 337 after shooting an 89 on Saturday.
Kaari Espeland finished 2 shots behind Tobin in a tie for 54th place at 339 following Saturday's round of 88.
Kelly Lauer had the best round of the day for Augustana as she carded an 82 on Saturday to tie for 60th place. Meanwhile,
Kelli Lowry tied for 67th place at 347 and
Laura Strautz tied for 70th place at 348.
