The Augustana women's track and field team had mixed results on the first day of the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships Thursday in San Angelo, Texas.
Miranda Wagner placed 15th in the 10,000 meters while
Molly Clark finished in the top 12 of the preliminaries of the 3,000-meter steeplechase to advance to Saturday's finals.
Wagner, a senior from South Heart, N.D., was in 10th place at the midway point of the race. However, she crossed the finish line in 38:00.22 to place 15th.
Clark finished seventh in her heat and 12th overall in a time of 11:04.76. The top 12 finishers advance to Saturday's finals, which begins at 5:10 p.m. CDT.
