The Augustana softball team lost 3-2 and 7-6 to Nebraska-Omaha (UNO) in a doubleheader Sunday in Omaha, Neb. The doubleheader was a makeup of a previously scheduled date that was postponed due to inclement conditions.
The losses drop the Vikings' record to 26-7 on the season.

Traci Fransen in the first inning, but UNO posted two of their own in the bottom half of the inning.
The Vikings evened the score 2-2 in the third when sophomore infielder
Britt Stewart grounded out to the right side of the field, scoring sophomore infielder
Elizabeth Murray from third base. UNO answered again in the third to take a one-run lead, and the Maverick pitching staff allowed two hits the remainder of the game.

Ashley Meyer picked up the loss (9-3) for the Vikings and gave up one earned run while striking out four.
The second game saw five lead changes. Down 5-3 in the sixth, the Vikings rallied for three runs to take the lead on Murray's two-RBI single to score Henke and sophomore outfielder
Taylor Kapsch and Stewart's single that scored freshman outfielder
Shelby Thompson from second base.
However, with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, UNO scored a run to force extra innings. After retiring Augie in order in the eighth, UNO scored a run on a bases-loaded single to secure the 7-6 win.
Sophomore pitcher Chelsea Durland picked up the loss (6-3), giving up two runs on five hits.
Augustana will resume conference play on Wednesday when it takes on Winona State at Bowden Field. The doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
