Emily Kvidera claimed medalist honors to help Augustana to a second place finish at the Augustana Spring Invitational Sunday at Prairie Green Golf Course.
Kvidera was tied for fourth after Saturday's round in which she shot a 75. On Sunday, she improved that score by one stroke, shooting a 74 to end up with a total score of 149.
Her total score actually tied her with both Taylor Drenttel and Katie Schenfeld of Gustavus, but she shot the lowest score of the day, giving her the tie-breaker. Drenttel shot a 75 while Schenfeld carded a 76.
This marks Augie's second medalist during the spring season.
"I've very proud to have two medalists this spring," head coach
Peggy Kirby said. "The entire team is playing very well and we're excited about the remainder of the season."
The Vikings had two other top-10 finishers with

Kelly Lauer tying for 10th with a 155.
The Vikings earned second place by shooting 320 as a team, ten strokes behind team champions, Gustavus Adolphus with a 610.
Augie will be back in action next weekend as they compete in the Minnesota State Maverick Invitational in Lake City, Minn.
