Final Results
The Augustana women's tennis team beat Minnesota Duluth 5-0 Saturday at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women's Tennis Championships in Minneapolis, Minn.
The team won the first five matches played, which by rule means that the dual is over.
The Vikings won all three doubles matches to start the day, with the No. 3 team of
Emily Johnson and
Gabrielle Kachena grabbing the biggest win, 8-2 over Jessica Stensrud and Anna Witty.
The only singles matches that were completed were the No. 3 match between
Hannah Gebauer and Brittany Thompson and the No. 6 match between Johnson and Cedar Schimike. Gebauer won both sets 6-0, 6-1, and Johnson defeated Schimike 6-0, 6-1.
The Vikings are now 19-0 this season and will play Minnesota State tomorrow at 8 a.m. for a chance to advance to the finals.
