The Augustana women's tennis team completed another 5-0 victory in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women's Tennis Championships Sunday in Minneapolis, Minn. Augie beat Minnesota State in the semifinals and will now move on to the championship.
The win improves the team's record to 20-0 on the season.
Once again, Augie started the day by winning all of its doubles matches. Brittany Gaster and Adriene Conley sailed past the No. 1 doubles pair of Kathry Gavin and Sarah Madigan, 8-4.
The No. 2 doubles team of Hannah Gebauer and Michelle Wadas as well as the No. 3 doubles pair of Emily Johnson and Gabrielle Kachena won their matches 8-5.
The only two singles matches that were completed was No. 1 and No. 5. Gaster defeated Sarah Madigan 6-1, 6-2 while Johnson beat Heather Jensen 6-2, 6-2.
Augie will now play the winner of the St. Cloud State and Winona State match which will begin at 11 a.m.
The championship match is scheduled for 3 p.m.
