Augustana junior Traci Fransen has been named Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II National Player of the Week, respectively, for games played between April 19 and April 25, 2010.
Fransen went 9-for-13 last week with six runs, 13 RBIs, three doubles, four home runs and a walk. For the week, she batted .692, had a 1.769 slugging percentage and a 0.857 on-base percentage.
The Jackson, Minn., native had three multi-hit and multi-RBI games last week and recorded at least one hit, one run, one RBI and one home run in each of her four contests. Seven of Fransen's nine hits on the week went for extra bases and she ended the week with no strikeouts.
Heading into the weekend, the 12th-ranked Vikings are 37-8 overall and 19-1 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. With just six games left before the conference tournament, Augustana is currently in first place and has a one-game lead over second place Concordia-St. Paul.
