2010 CDS Division II Preseason All-American Teams
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Consensus Draft Services has announced that Augustana's
Eric Bergman has been named an NCAA Division II Preseason All-America honorable mention defense selection. Bergman is a defensive lineman who will be a senior for the 2010 season.
Bergman was an All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference South Division honorable mention pick in 2009. A native of Clear Lake, Minn., Bergman started all 12 games last season and recorded 52 tackles. He also had 6.5 sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss--both team bests.
Augustana finished the 2009 season with an 8-4 record and 7-3 mark in NSIC play. The Vikings open the 2010 season on Sept. 4 at 1 p.m. at Kirkeby-Over Stadium against St. Cloud State in a non-conference contest.
