Vikings clean house at MSU Moorhead Open

FINAL RESULTS

MOORHEAD, Minn.
- Augustana crowned six champions (two co-champions) Saturday at the MSU Moorhead Open in Moorhead, Minn.

Cody Lensing (unattached) and Jeremiah Peterson shared top honors at 133 pounds, Marcus Edgington (unattached) won the 157-pound championship, Carl Serck (unattached) was the 174-pound winner and Jayd Docken won at 184 pounds.  Those titles came in the Red Division. 

Tim Weber (165) was a White Division champion.

Both Lensing and Peterson won two bouts to end up in the championship tilt.

Edgington went 3-0 and topped Collin Engelhardt of Mary College in the title contest.

Serck collected his first-place honors by going 4-0.  He won two bouts by major decision and another by fall.

Docken won by going 4-0 on the day.

Sean Derry (unattached) placed second at 184 pounds in the Red Division after losing to his teammate, Docken, for the championship.

Nate Herda earned third-place honors at 149 pounds in the Red Division.  He finished 3-1 and handed Kyle LeDuc of Concordia (Moorhead) a 15-7 loss by major decision in his third-place bout.

At 165 pounds in the Red Division, Bradyn Neises placed third, and Matt Morris took fifth.

Jeff Nielsen was a fifth-place finisher at 197 pounds in the Red Division.  He went 2-1 and pinned CC's Andrew Peterson in 3:52 in the fifth-place bout.

Mike Roberts finished sixth at 285 pounds in the Red Division after posting a 2-2 mark.

Garret Heiberger (unattached) placed second at 157 pounds in the White Division.  He finished 2-1.

Shawn Hatlestad (unattached) also picked up runner-up accolades in the White Division at 149 pounds.  He went 3-1.

Jake Lillie (unnattached) placed third in the White Division at 157 pounds.  He finished 3-1 on the day.

Augustana opens dual action Friday in a triangular with Northwestern (Iowa) and Dakota Wesleyan.
