RESULTS
SIOUX CENTER, Iowa - Noel Bentele won the weight throw with a toss of 53 feet, 5 inches and Andrea Whitney placed first in the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 7 inches to highlight Augustana's performance on Saturday at the Dordt Invite in Sioux Center, Iowa.
Bentele also placed second in the shot put, throwing 42 feet, 3.50 inches, while Whitney's 35 feet, 8.50 inch leap in the triple jump earned her third place.
Tyler Lynch earned a third place finish in the weight throw, tossing 51 feet, 1 inch.
Holly Bloom's recorded a third place finish in the pole vault with a jump of 11 feet, 5 inches.
In the 1-mile run Justin Grassmeyer clocked in at 4:33 for fifth place, while Laura Johnson was sixth with a time of 5:36.21.
Drew Trahms was seventh in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:28.69.
With a leap of 6 feet, 2.75 inches, Cory Sugden placed fourth in the high jump and in the long jump Thomas Filer was fifth, jumping 20 feet, 1.50 inches.
In the 1000-meter run Kelly Kougl had a time of 3:05.13 for a fourth place finish.
Karissa Pepin jumped four feet, 11 inches in the high jump which was good for a 10 place finish.
Clint Freiheit ran the 600-meter in 1:25.55 to place eighth and Alyssa Schmidt placed fifth in the 600-meter with a time of 1:43.18.
Matt Winder (52.99) finished 10th in the 400-meter dash and sixth in the 55-meter hurdles (8.34), while Mary-Kathryn Tonner recorded a fifth place finish with a time of 1:01.03.
