SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - It will be a young Augustana men's team that takes the court for the first time on Friday, Feb. 4, at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa. Play is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
Juniors
Jared Drenkow,
Isaac Krueger, and
Neal Gregerson are the most experienced members of Coach
Marc Kurtz's 12-man roster. The Vikings have five sophomores and four freshmen contending for positions in the lineup.
Augustana won five of 12 matches a year ago.
Drenkow notched a 7-5 record at No. 1 singles. Sophomore
Evan Gardner was 4-8 at No. 2, Gregerson 6-6 at No. 4, sophomore Dan Rasmussen 5-7 at No. 5, and sophomore
JD Carrels 7-4 at No. 6.
The Vikings will return home on Sunday to take on the University of Sioux Falls at Sioux Empire Fitness. Play is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m.
