SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Augustana retained its perfect record and moved to 8-0 (6-0 NSIC) with a 9-0 win over Bemidji State Saturday evening in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference tennis at Sioux Empire Fitness in Sioux Falls, S.D.

BSU falls to 1-6 (0-4 NSIC).

The Vikings are one of two conference teams with a blemish-free NSIC record; St. Cloud State is also 6-0.

Hannah Gebauer and Emily Johnson had the most commanding victories in singles play. Gebauer topped BSU's Miranda Milless 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4, while Johnson was a 6-0, 6-0 winner against Katherine Wolak at No. 6.

Brittany Gaster (No. 1), Katie Jesperson (No. 2), Michelle Wadas (No. 3) and Jill Hagestuen (No. 5) all posted singles victories.

Johnson and Gabrielle Kachena owned the most decisive win in doubles play. The No. 3 duo thumped Britney Greenwaldt and Katherine Wolak 8-1.

Gaster and Jesperson teamed up for a win at the No. 1 position, and Gebauer and Wadas were victorious at No. 2.

The win also marked the fourth shutout by the Vikings this season.

Augustana travels to St. Peter, Minn., next Saturday to face Wisconsin-Whitewater and Gustavus.
