NATIONAL RANKINGS
STARKVILLE, Miss. – Augustana kept its No. 17 ranking in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 poll released Wednesday.
The Vikings (27-5, 8-1 NSIC) went 4-1 last week, dropping its first conference game of the season to Minnesota Duluth last Sunday.
Alabama-Huntsville garnered all 16 first-place votes to become the first unanimous top-ranked team of 2011.
Minnesota State moved up one spot and is now ranked No. 6, while Winona State remained No. 8.
Augustana faces Minnesota State in a doubleheader on Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Mankato, Minn. The Vikings then play a pair of twinbills at home against St. Cloud State on Saturday at noon and Concordia University, St. Paul on Sunday at 1 p.m.
