FINAL RESULTS
SIOUX CITY, Iowa - Kyle Blakeslee set a meet record in the women's 1,500-meter run at the Sioux City Relays Saturday, turning in a time of 4 minutes, 37.01 seconds to key a three-title performance by Augustana.
The Vikings also got first-place finishes from Dylan Buehler in the men's javelin and their women's 4x800-meter relay team.
Buehler won with a throw of 162 feet, seven inches.
Augustana's 4x800 unit; made up of Kelly Kougl, Miriam Hovda, LeAnn Severson and Molly Kokesh; won with a time 9:40.75.
Noel Bentele added to her hammer throw title from yesterday by placing third in the shot put with a toss of 39 feet, 9.75 inches.
A pair of Augustana steeple-chase athletes recorded top-eight finishes on the day. Laura Johnson was sixth in the women's race (12:07.39), while Jordan Slusser was eight in the men's contest (10:14.23).
The Vikings will compete at Winona State on Friday.
