Kye Winter hit a walk-off home run to lift Augustana to a 2-1 victory in Game 1 and pitched 6.0 shutout innings in Game 2 to help the Vikings to a 10-0 win in seven innings against Bemidji State Saturday afternoon in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference baseball in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The pair of victories completes the Vikings' series sweep of the Beavers.
Augustana moves to 14-8 (6-0 NSIC); BSU drops to 9-13 (3-5 NSIC).
Winter's home run in the bottom of the seventh went deep to left field. He finished the contest 1 for 3.
Nate Baumann also went 1 for 3 with one home run. His homer was the 40th of his career and ties him for the top spot in Augustana school history with Brad Bornhorst (2000-2003)
Zach Weinandt registered the win in just 1.0 inning of work. He entered in the seventh with the game tied 1-1 and struckout one batter and forced a pair of groundouts.
Brian Voigt pitched 6.0 innings and struckout two while allowing three hits.
BSU used a pair of singles to score one in the opening inning, but Baumann answered with his solo shot in the second to even the game at 1-1.
From there, the two teams remained scoreless until the bottom of the seventh when Winter knocked his game-winning homer to left and end the contest.
Ryan Sander (1-1) absorbed the loss for the Beavers.
Winter went to the mound for Game 2, tossing 6.0 shutout innings to pick up his third of the season. He also struckout nine batters--a season high for the Vikings.
Sam Gotham tossed the final inning to complete the combined shutout.
Charlie Dubanoski logged a 4-for-4 performance with two RBIs, while
Deryk Marks was 3 for 4 for with two RBIs. Baumann collected two hits and three RBIs.
Augustana opened up a scoreless contest in the third.
Gates Cook singled to lead off and was later pushed in on a
Nate Hewes groundout. Marks then knocked a double to push in another pair of runs.
Baumann sparked another surge in the fifth with his RBI double. Dubanoski turned his ensuing at bat into a two-RBI single, scoring a speedy Baumann from second and driving in Hewes from third.
Sporting a 5-0 advantage heading into the seventh, the Vikings poured in six runs to end the game early.

Jake Kurth and a pair of Beaver errors put the Vikings ahead 9-0. Baumann then lifted a two-out single to left field to score one more run.
Phil Bray (1-2) took the loss for BSU. He worked 4.1 innings and allowed five runs. Lewis Baumann recorded two hits.
Augustana will travel to Wayne State on Wednesday for an NSIC doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
