FINAL RESULTS
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana women's golf captured a third-place finish at the South Dakota State Invite on Monday afternoon. The Vikings finished the 54-hole tournament with a score of 953 to place third amongst six NCAA Division I teams.
Allie Ostrander fired a three-round score of 231 to finish third overall.
The Vikings finished just two strokes behind second-place finisher Northern Iowa and 20 strokes behind the team champion North Dakota State University. NDSU fired a 933 and Northern Iowa shot a 951.
Ostrander, who entered the final round second in the individual standings, fired an 84 on Monday to finish 18-over-par 231. Ostrander shot a tournament-low 68 in the first of two rounds on Sunday.
Emily Kvidera finished seventh overall firing a 236 (78-79-79) and was 23-over-par for the tournament.
Marisa Toivonen, competing as an individual, finished eighth overall with a 237 fired a 79 in all three rounds.
Jennifer Pederson finished in a tie for 15th shooting 30-over-par 243 (82-79-82).
Maggie Leland finished in a tie for 17th place shooting a 244 after her best round of the tournament on Monday. Leland came into the clubhouse with a 78 on Monday.
Sadie Martin finished the 54-hole event at 36-over 249 (82-84-83) and competing as an individual,
Jennifer Benoy finished with a 256.
Augustana returns to the course next Monday and Tuesday to compete in the first two rounds of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships in Brainerd, Minn.
