SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Five student-athletes from Augustana have been selected to the Capital One Academic All-District 7 At-Large Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced Friday.

Emily Kvidera and
Maggie Leland and
Michelle Wadas of women's tennis earned the honor, which was voted on by members of CoSIDA.
District 7 includes schools from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
To be nominated for all-district honors, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his or her current institution.
Lensing, a senior from Moundsview, Minn., went 18-6 this season en route to a national runner-up finish and All-America honors at 125 pounds. He also finished third at the region tournament. Lensing earned All-NSIC second-team laurels in 2011-12 and was given the conference's prestigious Britton Scholar Athlete Award. Additionally, he earned the NCAA Elite 89 award, which is given to the student-athlete with the highest GPA at their respective championship. He carries a 3.96 GPA as a biochemistry major.
A senior from Sioux City, Iowa, Edgington went 22-4 this season and qualified for the national tournament for the third-straight season. The 157-pounder was also an Academic All-District pick a year ago. A physics major, Edgington has a 3.82 GPA.
Kvidera is a junior business administration major from Blaine, Minn., who owns a 3.51 GPA. She earned All-NSIC and NSIC All-Tournament Team honors this season and is currently tied for ninth at the NCAA Championships.
A native of Alexandria, Minn., Leland was named the NSIC Golfer of the Year and All-NSIC in 2011-12 and was the conference medalist. The sophomore collected NSIC Golfer of the Week nods five times this season. She has a 3.47 GPA as a nursing major. She is tied for 28th at the NCAA Championships.
Wadas, a junior from Fort Collins, Colo., was an all-conference selection at both singles and doubles this season and was named NSIC Player of the Week on Feb. 21. She finished the season 19-3 in singles action, playing primarily at No. 2. Wadas was also 16-7 in doubles, competing mostly at the No. 1 spot. She is the first student-athlete in the history of the women's tennis program to earn Academic All-District honors.
All five honorees will advance to the Capital One Academic All-America ballot, where first-, second- and third-team honorees will be selected later this month.
