SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana head men's basketball coach
Tom Billeter announced Monday the addition of
Darren Glover, a transfer from Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vt., to his 2012-13 squad.
Glover hails from Wayzata, Minn., and appeared in two games during his freshman season with the Purple Knights in 2011-12.
A 6-foot-4, 190-pound guard, Glover graduated from Benilde-St. Margaret's High School in 2010 as a two-time all-conference selection and a two-time team defensive player of the year. As a senior and team captain, he averaged 10.0 points, 4.2 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game to help the Red Knights earn a North Suburban Conference title and section championship. During Glover's junior campaign, he was named the team MVP averaging 13.0 points and 5.8 assists per game, and he helped his team to a 3A state championship as a sophomore.
"We are very excited to have Darren join our team as he is a young man capable of playing a multitude of positions and has the ability to guard just about anyone,” said Billeter. “Darren loves the game and will work hard at helping us get better in many different ways. He is a very good student and will represent our program very well both on and off the floor.”
