BOLIVAR, Mo. – Augustana women's golf made a charge to the top in the second round of the Drury University Fall Shootout on Tuesday afternoon. The Vikings shot a 309 in round two, five strokes better than Monday, to finish second at the two-day tournament. Augustana finished 10 strokes behind Southwestern Oklahoma State who won the tournament with a two-round score of 612.
Southwestern Oklahoma State's Ana Gomez, who fired an even 72 on Monday, won the individual medal with a six-over-par 150, delivering a six-over 76 this afternoon.
Emily Kvidera rebounded from an 80 on day one, and shot an even-par 72 on Tuesday afternoon, finishing in a tie with four other competitors for second place.
Allie Ostrander finished in a three-way tie for sixth-place with a nine-over-par 76-77-153.
Maggie Leland fired back-to-back 79's to finish in 14th place with a 14-over 158.
Jennifer Pederson was five strokes better in round two finishing 27th with an 83-78-161.
Marisa Toivonen finished 33rd shooting an 81-82-163.
Augustana returns to action next Sunday at the Concordia Invitational at Tartan Park Golf Course in Lake, Elmo, Minn.
