Augustana individuals finish SDSU Classic on Friday evening

MEN'S RESULTS | WOMEN'S RESULTS

BROOKINGS, S.D. –
The Augustana men' s and women's cross country teams ran at the South Dakota State Classic on Friday night in Brookings, S.D. The Vikings did not compete in the team portion of the event, but had several individual and unattached runners.

John Klecker, running unattached, was Augustana's highest finisher coming in 11th-place with an 8k time of 26:20.13. Freshman Keegan Carda, also running unattached for Augustana, finished 28th with a time of 26:57.21.

Aduo Omot was Augustana's highest finisher who was competing for the Vikings this evening. Omot finished 34th with a time of 27:16.16.

On the women's side, freshman Emma Anderson was Augustana's highest finisher (26th-place) crossing the finish line in 19:07.38 in the women's 5k run. Gabi Swoboda, competing unattached for the Vikings, finished the course in 19:31.93, crossing the line in 37th.

Kaitlyn Yoerg finished 45th with a time of 20:05.32, while Shawna Heilman, competing unattached, finished 60th with a time of 20:40.36.

The Vikings will now gear up for the Roy Griak Invitational which will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29 in Minneapolis, Minn.
