PITTSBURG, Kan. – Augustana linebacker
Austin Luecke has been named to the 2012 Don Hansen Division II All-Super Region Three second team defense.
The first-team and second-team selections advance to a national ballot from which the Hansen Division II All-America team will be named later this month.
A native of Groton, S.D., Luecke led Augustana in tackles, finishing the 2012 season with a career-high 108, including 50 solo stops. He intercepted a career-high three passes and finished the season with one sack and 4.5 tackles for loss. Luecke recorded 10 or more tackles in a game seven times on the season
The 2012 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference South Division preseason player of the year, Luecke was named to the All-NSIC South Division first team defense both his junior and senior seasons.
He was also selected to the 2012
USA Football News Division II Preseason All-America third team.
