INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA men's and women's basketball selection shows will be aired tonight via webcast at
NCAA.com announcing the field for the 64-team tournaments. The women's 64-team tournament will be announced at 9 p.m. CT while the men's brackets will be announced at 9:30 p.m. CT.
The top eight teams in each of the eight regions will earn a berth to the NCAA Tournament.
Augustana women's basketball earned an automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament by winning the NSIC Tournament Championship yesterday in Rochester. Augustana is 24-6 on the season and was ranked sixth in the last NCAA Central Region rankings.
The Augustana men are currently 21-8 on the season and were last in action in the NSIC Tournament semifinals against Minnesota State. The Vikings were ranked third in the last edition of the NCAA Central Region rankings that were released last Tuesday.
The Central Region is made up of teams from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), the Great American Conference (GAC) and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA).
