ORLANDO, Fla. – Augustana men's tennis dropped their first match of the year when they opened their 2013 spring trip with a 9-0 loss to ASA College. The Vikings had only dropped four individual matches in four duals and now own a 4-1 record.
Mitchell Barr dropped his first match of the year, 6-3, 6-1, to Tim Srkala and the Vikings wouldn't fare much better than that in the ensuing matches.
Jared Hofer managed to take six games off his opponent at No. 4 singles, but he fell 6-4, 6-2.
In the doubles matches, Barr and
Collin Noldner pushed Srkala and Rolando Perez, but eventually lost 8-5 at the top singles flight. Hofer and
Jackson Buchanan lost 8-3 at No. 2 doubles.
The Vikings face Division III Central College tomorrow at 10:30 a.m.
