Augustana defeats USF in dual on Saturday

RESULTS

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. –
Augustana women's golf shot a season-low one-over-par 289 to defeat the University of Sioux Falls in a dual at Prairie Green Golf Course in Sioux Falls on Saturday. Jennifer Pederson won individual medalist honors shooting a career-best one-under-par 71.

Augustana had the top three finishers as Emily Kvidera and Allie Ostrander tied for second shooting even-par 72 on the day. USF shot a 318 as a team, led by Tavia Rutherford, who shot a two-over-par 74.

Marisa Toivonen finished fourth at two-over-par 74 while Jennifer Benoy shot a six-over-par 78 to finish sixth. Benoy was competing as an individual. Kelsey Bortnem and JoDee Wheeler, both competing as individuals, finished tied for seventh shooting seven-over-par 79.

Katie Grevlos who was also competing as an individual for Augustana, finished tied for 10th shooting an eight-over-par 80. Maggie Leland also shot an 80 for the Vikings to finish tied for 10th.

Augustana will return to action May 5-7 at the NCAA Central Region Championships in St. Joseph, Mo.
