FINAL RESULTS
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Augustana finished second at the NCAA Central Region Championships with a three-round score of 964 (317-327-320) to qualify for the NCAA Championships for the sixth straight season. Central Oklahoma won the region championship shooting a course-low 310 in today's final round to finish with a 951 (323-318-310).
Augustana has finished third or better at the Central Region Championships in six straight seasons, winning the region championship in 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12.
Marisa Toivonen was Augustana's highest finisher at the Central Region Championships, earning a fourth-place finish at 21-over-par 237 (79-75-83). Rebecka Surtevall from Arkansas Tech, won the individual title with a 15-over-par 231 (81-73-77).
Emily Kvidera moved up 13 spots firing her best round of the tournament with a two-over-par 74 this afternoon. Kvidera finished sixth overall with a three-round score of 23-over-par 239 (80-85-74).
Allie Ostrander finished 16th individually at the Central Region Championships with a 31-over-par 247 (74-84-89) while
Maggie Leland fired her best round of the tournament on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 21st with a 32-over-par 248 (85-85-78).
Jennifer Pederson shot a 36-over-par 252 (84-83-85) for Augustana to finish in a tie for 28th overall.
The NCAA Championships will be held May 15-18 at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.
