NEW ORLEANS
- The Augustana men moved up one spot to join the women's cross country team in the top five of the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll released on Wednesday morning. The men's team now sits at No. 5, and the women remain ranked No. 3 for the third consecutive week.

Adams State holds onto the top spot for the men, gathering all eight No. 1 votes and the Grand Valley State women remain unanimously atop the women's poll. Augustana's men collected 164 points which was enough to pass Colorado School of Mines for the final spot in the top five. The Vikings women tallied 183 points, holding at No. 3 while the rest of the women's top 10 remained unchanged.

The Vikings will resume competition after a two-week hiatus when they race at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn. on Saturday, Sept. 28.
