BOX SCORE TAHLEQUAH, OKLA. – Augustana soccer falls 2-1 at Northeastern State in overtime on Friday night in both teams season opener. The Vikings drop to 0-1 after season-opening loss, while the Riverhawks move to 1-0.

The Vikings and Riverhawks battled to a scoreless tie at the end of the first half.  NSU outshot Augustana 6-1 in the first half, with three resulting in shots on goal for the Riverhawks.  Augustana senior goalkeeper Ashley Limmer saved all three shots.

Action picked up in the second half as NSU scored first in the 58th minute on a strike by Lindsey Latty.  Augustana had its own flurry of shots in the second half, totaling five on goal.

Despite the senior forward's heroics, Augustana wasn't able to pull out a victory.  NSU scored midway through overtime as Jennifer Clark netted the game-winning golden goal in the fifth minute of the extra period.

Limmer finished with six saves, one short of her career. Stevens finished with a team-high two shots on goal and Werth, Kara Bartels, and Annie Thoresen each added one.
