ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Augustana men's golf team closed out its fall portion of the season by finishing 15th in the Holiday Inn Express Classic at the St. Joseph Country Club. The Vikings fired a 66-over-par 634 for the two-day event.

Central Missouri took home the team title in the 19-team tournament with a two-round score of 597 (298-299), four shots ahead of Arkansas Tech.

Minnesota State finished the highest of the six Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference teams that were competing in the event, placing fifth with a 37-over-par 605.

Ryan Buerk, Travis Mays, Russ Purser, Sam Migdal, and Ryan Hand all tied atop the leaderboard with a final score of 146 after 36 holes of play. Par for the course was 71.

Tyler Jensvold was Augustana's highest finisher, tying for 33rd with score of 155 (80-75).

Drew Trautman closed out his tournament strong in the final round, firing a 74 in the final 18 holes to bring his total to 160 (+18), good for a tie for 66th place.

Clay Kopplin finished in a four-way tie at 71 after firing a 19-over-par 161 (84-77) in two rounds of action.

Parker Klitzke ended his fall season by placing 79th in the tournament with a two-round score of 163 (79-84).

Matt Drake, making his season debut, tied for 86th after putting up a 23-over-par 165 on the scorecard for the two-day event.

The Vikings will return in the spring of 2015 for the spring portion of their schedule.
