NEW ORLEANS – The Augustana men's and women's cross country teams remain in the top 10 of the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national poll.
In the release Wednesday, the men dropped one spot to ninth, while the women remain at seventh.
On the men's side, Adams State remains as the No. 1 team for a fifth consecutive week tallying all possible 200 points. The No. 9 Vikings dropped one spot received 136 points only five points behind Lock Haven who ranked in at No. 8.
The women's squad remains at the No. 7 spot for a fifth straight week tallying 153 points, just 30 points behind Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference rival Minnesota Duluth, who tabbed the No. 3 spot with 183 points.
Grand Valley State was the unanimous pick on the women's side with all possible first-place votes and 200 points.
The Vikings will prepare for the conference championships that are two weeks away in Wayne, Neb.
