No. 23 Vikings set to close out regular season this weekend

Storylines
• No. 23 Augustana closes out the regular season with two Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches this Halloween weekend.
• The Vikings face off with rival Sioux Falls (2-13-1, 2-11 NSIC) on Friday, Oct. 31.
• The match will be part of the First Dakota  National Bank Mayor's Cup Challenge between the two schools.
•  Start time is set for 4 p.m.
• Augustana closes out the regular season on Sunday in Marshall, Minn. with a meeting against Southwest Minnesota State (8-7-1, 7-5-1 NSIC) at 1 p.m.

Series History
• The Vikings have a 4-0 record all-time against the Cougars.
• Augustana won last year's meeting 3-1 at Sioux Falls.
• The Vikings have scored at least two goals in all four matches against the Cougars.
• In 2013, Sioux Falls scored their first goal in the series against Augustana in a 3-1 loss.
• The Vikings have shutout the Cougars on three occasions in the all-time series.

Vikings Remain Unbeaten At Home With Two Wins This Past Weekend
• Augustana bounced back with two home wins this past weekend at Morstad Field.
• The Vikings started the weekend with a 2-1 win over Minot State on Saturday.
• Samantha Arnold scored both goals for Augustana, who overcame a 1-0 deficit in the match.
• The Beavers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute on a long ball that went in from about 30 yards out.
• Arnold got the equalizer in the 32nd minute of the first half, scoring off a Stephanie Stevens pass.
• For Stevens, it was her fourth straight game with a point.
• Arnold delivered the game-winner in the second half at the 65:48 mark to put the Vikings up for good at 2-1.
• It was Arnold's sixth goal of the season, second most on the team.
• Augustana used a second-half rally in a 2-1 victory against U-Mary on Sunday.
• Freshmen Samantha Tymkowicz and Mackenzie Main scored the Vikings' two goals.
• Senior goalkeeper Ashley Limmer became the program's all-time wins leader in the victory.
• Limmer notched her 25th career win in net, passing Lisa Jarvoski for the most wins.
• Jessica Madson got her second assist of the year on the Tymkowicz goal in the 72nd minute.
• Sierra Erickson got her first collegiate assist on Main's game-winning goal in the 78th minute of regulation.

There's A First Time For Everything
• Augustana is looking to secure its first time hosting a NSIC Tournament match at Morstad Field.
• The Vikings, currently seeded second in the NSIC, would host Southwest Minnesota State if the season ended today.

Never Felt So Good To Be Home
• The Vikings have been quite a difficult matchup for teams that come to Morstad Field to play.
• Since 2012, The Vikings have gone 14-1 (.933) in their last 15 games at Morstad Field.
• Augustana currently has a seven-game winning streak at home.
• The Vikings hold a 7-0 record in 2014 at Morstad Field, tying the record for most wins at home, set back in 2008.
