Soccer bound for Warrensburg, Mo. for NCAA Tournament

Storylines
• No. 3 seed Augustana heads on the road for the first round of the NCAA Central Region Tournament this upcoming week.
• The Vikings will take on No. 6 seed Central Oklahoma   on Friday.
• The match will take place in Warrensburg, Mo.
• Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
• If Augustana wins, they will face No. 2 seed Central Missouri in a second-round match on Sunday.

Series History
• This will be the first meeting between the two teams in each program's history.
• If the Vikings win, they will meet up with the Jennies for the second time in school history.

NCAA Tournament History
• Augustana earned the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Central Region Tournament this past Monday.
• This is the Vikings' second appearance in the tournament, the last time coming in 2008.
• Augustana lost 3-0 to Regis University in Winona, Minn. on Nov. 14, 2008 in  a first-round match.

Return To Warrensburg
• The Vikings are set to make a return trip to Warrensburg, Mo. for their first-round match against the Bronchos.
• Augustana was last down there for its season opener against the Jennies on Sept. 5.
• The Vikings lost that matchup 2-0 to UCM at the South Recreation Complex.
• Augustana then bounced back with a 5-2 win over Southwest Baptist on Sept. 7.
 • Payton Pry lead the way with two goals in the win for the Vikings.

I Believe Congratulations Are In Order
• Augustana was rewarded for its highly successful season this year by the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference last week.
• The Vikings had five players named to All-NSIC first and second teams.
•  Stephanie Stevens and Pry were first-team selections.
Emily Hanneman, Samantha Arnold, and Ashley Limmer were named to the second team.
Annie Thoresen was honorable mention.
• The five selections were the most in team history for Augustana.
• Head coach Brandon Barkus was also named NSIC Coach of the Year for his great year.
• It was the first time Barkus has received the award in his nine seasons as Vikings' head coach.
•  Arnold also was chosen as the NSIC Freshman of the Year, the first time a player has won the award since joining the league in 2008.
