No. 2 seed Vikings host No. 7 seed Bulldogs in NSIC Tournament play

Storylines
• No. 2 seed Augustana plays host for the first time in a US Bank/NSIC Tournament quarterfinal match.
• The Vikings face off with No. 7 seed Minnesota Duluth (8-9-1, 8-6-1 NSIC) on Wed, Nov. 5 at Morstad Field.
• This will be second time the two teams have met up this season.
• Start time is set for 2 p.m.
• If Augustana wins, they will play the winner of No. 3 seed Winona State and No. 6 seed Southwest Minnesota State on Friday at 12 p.m.
• That match will be at the highest remaining seed's home field after the quarterfinals.

Series History
• The Vikings have a 4-10-1 record all-time against the Bulldogs.
• Augustana won the matchup earlier this year against Minnesota Duluth 3-1 on Oct. 12.
• The Vikings' three goals were the most against the Bulldogs since 2011.
• This is the second time that the two teams have met in NSIC postseason play, the last time coming in 2011.
• Minnesota Duluth won that match 2-1 in the NSIC quarterfinals.

NSIC Tournament History
• Augustana's No. 2 seed this year is the highest the team has had since joining the NSIC back in 2008.
• This is the fifth appearance in the NSIC Tournament for the Vikings.
• This is the first time that the Augustana have ever hosted a NSIC Tournament match.
• The Vikings are looking for its first-ever win in postseason win in NSIC Tournament play (0-4).

Augustana Sets Program Record With 14 Wins
• The Vikings wrapped up their most successful regular  season in team history by going 1-1 over the weekend.
• Augustana routed rival Sioux Falls 5-0 on Friday at Morstad Field.
• The win gave the Vikings 14 on the year, setting a new team record for most wins in a single season.
• The victory also capped off a unbeaten home record (8-0) at home this year, also a new team record.
• Meg Thacker recorded her first collegiate goal, scoring the game-winner in the 23rd minute of regulation.
• Samantha Arnold kept her high-scoring ways going, netting two goals in the victory.
• The two goals upped Arnold's total to eight on the year, second most on the team.
• Augustana's leading scorer Payton Pry picked her 11th goal of the year at the 67:44 mark in the second half.
• Annie Thoresen racked up her third goal of the season after scoring a Courtney Almendinger pass in the final minutes of the match.
• Samantha Tymkowicz and Mackenzie Main also picked up an assist each in the win.
• On Sunday, the Vikings closed out the regular season  with a 2-1 loss to Southwest Minnesota State.
• Stephanie Stevens netted her sixth goal of 2014 for Augustana in the 79th minute of the match.
• Ashley Limmer made five saves in the loss.
