The Short Story: Five players scored in double-figures, led by Adam Beyer's career-high 20 points, as Augustana College won its fourth straight to improve to 11-1 (5-1 NSIC) on the season. Augustana finished the game shooting 50 percent from the field and hit a season-high 12 3-pointers in the win.
 
How it happened
• Augustana never trailed on the night, marking the third straight game the Vikings have gained an early lead and never let it get away.
• Augustana took a six-point lead at 8-2 after Daniel Jansen converted a three-point-play and Wayne State never got within closer than that the entire night.
• The Vikings built a 10-point lead just under four minutes into the game and the two teams traded baskets over the next 11 minutes before Augustana went on a tear over a four-minute stretch.
• Augustana went on a 19-4 run, that included three-pointers from Beyer, Casey Schilling and Jordan Spencer, that gave the Vikings a 51-26 lead with just over three minutes remaining in the first half.
• The Vikings shot 61 percent (22 of 36) from the field in the first half, connecting on 8 of 16 shots from 3-point range.
• Augustana led by as much as 28 in the second half and finished the game with 90-plus points for the fourth time this season.
