. - Jackson Buchanan provided Augustana (2-4) with the only two wins of the day in a 7-2 loss to Hastings College (1-1) on Saturday evening. Buchanan picked up his fifth win of the season and fourth in a row in both singles and doubles on Saturday. With partner Brock Baade, the No. 2 doubles pairing pulled out an 8-6 win, but the Vikings found themselves in 2-1 hole after the three doubles matches.

The rest of the Vikings would not be as fortunate, all losing in straight sets. Colan Surratt was upended 6-2, 6-4 in the No. 4 singles match, Brock Baade lost 6-2, 6-3 at No. 5 singles, and Evan Richards fell in the No. 6 singles match 6-3 with one just set being played due to time constraints to give the Vikings a 7-2 defeat.

Augustana returns to Sioux Falls for their home opener against Morningside on Feb. 28 at 6:30 p.m. in Sioux Empire Fitness.
