ITA RANKINGS
SKILLMAN, N.J. - With a perfect 7-0 record, including a 6-0 mark in conference play, Augustana earned the No. 41 ranking in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II rankings released Wednesday afternoon.
The Vikings slid three spots from the initial rankings released on Nov. 11, but their perfect record to start the season still warranted one of the top 50 rankings. Augustana is the only team from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in the rankings, while five teams from the Central Region earned top 50.
Southwest Baptist is the highest-ranked team at No. 33, followed closely by Arkansas Tech and Northeastern State at 34th and 35th, respectively. Central Oklahoma quickly follows the Vikings at No. 42.
Augustana will be looking to improve their No. 4 region ranking this weekend when they take on Northwest Missouri State and Nebraska-Kearney -- both are ranked in the top seven of the region -- on March 1 and 2, respectively.
