ST. CLOUD, Minn. - No. 17 Augustana won four highly-contested bouts, but fourth-ranked St. Cloud State scored bonus points in four of their six bout wins, coming away with a 27-12 victory. The Vikings now own an 11-5 record on the season, 4-2 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Competition, and the Huskies are 16-1 with a 5-0 mark in the NSIC.

TJ North gave the Vikings the first of their two leads with a 4-2 win over SCSU's Tanner Johnshoy. The Huskies were quick to answer, and in a big way, with Zach Stewart earning a tech fall in 3:45 over Augustana's
Morgan Engbrecht.
Making his 2013-14 debut,
Jeremiah Peterson wasted no time showing off his talents. The 141-pound junior defeated fourth-ranked Matt Nelson 8-7 to give the Vikings a 6-5 lead. In another close bout,
Shawn Hatlestad couldn't add to the Vikings' lead and lost 4-2 at 149 pounds.
St. Cloud State then scored another bonus-point victory at 157 pounds, when fifth-ranked Clint Poster scored a 9-0 major decision over
Bradyn Neises.
Tim Weber couldn't stop the SCSU run and was pinned in the third period at 165 pounds, giving the Huskies a 21-6 lead.
Augustana couldn't stop the SCSU scoring spurt and
Drake Fanslau lost his 174-pound bout 6-0.
Sean Derry broke through for the Vikings, winning the 184-pound bout 7-3, cutting the SCSU lead to 24-9.

Jayd Docken made it two in-a-row for Augustana winning 3-2 over St. Cloud State's Chris Brassell at 197 pounds. The Huskies added their final bonus-point win of the night with a pin by No. 3 Austin Goergen in 4:48 over Augustana's
Michael Lowman, handing Augustana a 27-12 loss.
The Vikings return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 12 when they take on Minnesota State Moorhead in Moorhead, Minn. at 7 p.m.
