TEAM RESULTSASHLAND, NEB. – Augustana men's golf climbed three spots on the leaderboard on Monday for a fourth-place finish in a 10-team Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference field at the Quarry Oaks Collegiate.
The Vikings shot a final round 317 – 33 over par – as a team, bringing their total to 637 (320-317) for the two rounds. St. Cloud State won the tournament with a score 599 (299-300), 22 shots better than second-place Concordia-St. Paul.
St. Cloud State's Devin Holmes earned individualist honors with a two-round score of 143 (73-70), five shots ahead of runner-up Kowan O'Keefe from Minot State.
Collin Hammer built off a strong first round and moved up four places on the leaderboard to finish tied for 11th after firing a second-day score of 78, bringing his total to 156 (78-78) for the event.
Drew Trautman fired a 79 on day two to bring his total to 159 (80-79), good for a tie for 18th.
Tyler Jensvold made a strong push up the leaderboard on Monday with a final round score of 77 that gave him a score of 159 (82-77), which tied for 18th.
Clay Kopplin finished tied for 29th after posting an 83 in the final round, giving him a score of 163 (80-83) for the tournament.
Matt Drake tied for 56th after shooting an 86 in the final round that brought his score for the two-day event to 171 (85-86).
Augustana will be back in action at the Upper Iowa Spring Invite in Wayne, Neb. on April 5.
