NFCA TOP 25
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Augustana College softball dropped four spots in the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association Top 25 Poll and is now ranked 17th in the country the organization announced Wednesday.
Augustana spent the last two weeks ranked 13th in the coaches poll. The Vikings are one of three NSIC schools to make the national poll with Minnesota State entering the top 25 for the first time this season at No. 12. Winona State re-entered the national rankings this week at No. 25.
Augustana is coming off a doubleheader sweep over Southwest Minnesota State on Tuesday where the Vikings shut out the visiting Mustangs winning 7-0 and 6-0.
The Vikings will play their final regular season home games this weekend hosting, including a top 25 match-up with No. 12 Minnesota State on Saturday at noon. Augustana hosts Concordia-St. Paul at 12 p.m. on Friday at Bowden Field.
