LAKE CITY, Minn. – Augustana men's golf leads after two rounds of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference/US Bank Men's Golf Championship.
The Vikings fired a two-round score of 586 (294-292), good for a six-shot lead over second-place St. Cloud State.
The final two rounds of the 72-hole tournament will be played in the spring on April 11-12 at Quarry Oaks in Omaha, Neb.
Tyler Jensvold is tied for the lead after two rounds with Winona State's Mitch Holm, both with a one-over-par 143. Jensvold shot a 73 on the second day to go with a 70 from opening round yesterday.
Jumping up three places into a tie for third is
Parker Klitzke. The freshman posted an even-par 71 on Tuesday, bringing his two-round total to 144 (73-71).
Clay Kopplin moved up nine spots on the leaderboard into a tie for seventh after putting up a one-over-par 72 on Tuesday, bringing his two-day total to 147 (75-72).
Drew Trautman finished up tied for 21st after recording a five-over-par 76 for a second straight day. Trautman's two-round total stands at 152 (76-76).
Rounding out the lineup is
Collin Hammer, who tied for 46th after firing a 169 (83-86) in two days at the tournament.
Augustana closes out the fall portion of its schedule with the Missouri Western Central Region Invitational in St. Joseph, Mo. on Oct. 13-14.
