SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – No. 6 Augustana College men's basketball drilled a season-high 17 3-pointers and
Tom Billeter won his 200th game as the Vikings' head coach in a 97-68 win over Winona State University (9-8, 6-7 NSIC) at the Sioux Falls Arena on Friday night. The Vikings (18-1, 12-1 NSIC) have now won 11 straight games and have scored 90-plus points in four straight.
Tom Billeter is now 200-139 in 12 seasons at Augustana. He is just three wins away from his 300th career victory as he has compiled a 297-189 record in 17 seasons as a collegiate head coach.
Augustana shot 57 percent from the field and knocked down 17 of 29 3-pointers (58 percent) led by
Casey Schilling who finished with 25 points and hit a career-high four 3-pointers.
Tanner Odegaard matched his career-high, for the third time this season, with 12 points on four 3-pointers.
How it happened• Winona State held an early 9-4 advantage after a Riley Bambanek 3-pointer but the Vikings answered with a 3-point barrage to overcome the deficit and build an early lead.
• Augustana hit five 3-pointers in the middle of a 17-3 run over the next five minutes to take a 21-12 lead.
