SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Augustana women's basketball team (7-1, 2-1 NSIC) defeated Concordia-St. Paul (5-3, 1-1 NSIC) in their second conference game of the weekend Saturday afternoon by a score of 76-69.
Just like the previous night, it took a second half surge to propel Augustana to a victory on Saturday. After ending the first half shooting just 38 percent from the field, Augustana shot an astounding 50 percent from the field in the third quarter. Augustana used that hot shooting to grab  10-point lead, their largest of the game. But it was success from the free-throw line that helped seal the deal for the Vikings.
Concordia-St. Paul made a bit of a comeback in the fourth-quarter after Augustana shot 21 percent from the field in the fourth-quarter. The Vikings weather'd every Golden Bear storm by knocking down the freebies from the line. For the game, Augustana shot 76 percent from the line, but went 5-6 in the fourth-quarter for an 83 percent clip at the line. Â
