FINAL RESULTS
LARCHWOOD, Iowa - Augustana Men's golf closed out their 2015 "Battle at the Falls" meet with a fifth place finish, including three individuals who finished inside the top-20. The meet was played at the par 72, Grand Falls Casino and golf Resort.
The Vikings posted a final round team score of 313 and a three round total of 944. As a team they were +80 over par for the weekend, good for fifth place overall. The University of Manitoba (Can.) finished first with a team score of 913, +49 over par. Rounding out the top-5 was Minnesota State (925), Winona State (925), St. Cloud State (930).
Junior
Collin Hammer built upon his successful first two rounds of 75 and 81 with a weekend best score of 72, good for par on the day. Hammer was +12 over par for all three rounds with an overall score of 228.
Senior
Clay Kopplin rebounded nicely from a round one score of 84 to post second and third round scores of 75. Kopplin finished the meet tied for 12th with an overall score total of 234.
Sophomore
Parker Klitzke also found himself inside the top-20 with a final round score of 79. Klitzke ended the three rounds with a combined total of 235, +19 over par, which put him in a tie for 14th place.
Sophomore
Ted Urch finished the tournament in 24th place with an overall score of 238, +22 over par. Urch shot an 80 in Monday's 18-hole final round.
Senior
Matt Drake shot an 82 Monday and finished with a combined score of 243, +27 overpar, putting him in a tie for 31st while Sophomore
Jake Weber came in tied for 40th with a final score of 79 and a combined total of 247. Weber improved from day one to day two, his 79 was his best score of the meet.
Sophomores
Dakota Waverek and
Les Williams shot final round scores of 79 and 84 while posting combined totals of 249 and 266 respectively.
The Vikings will be off this week before traveling to St. Cloud Minnesota for the St. Cloud State Invite on Sept. 27-28.
